"The stay was amazing! Clean room, staff was incredible! If you like Victorian style this is the place. Breakfast portions were large. Close walk to the harbor and other venues. Only thing I wish they had was a vending machine with soda and snacks"

"This was our third visit to The Ivy. We chose to celebrate our 10th anniversary there and we were not disappointed at all. The staff is always top notch from the moment you arrive. Mr. Calvin, Miles, Alex, Valencia, Cynthia and all others treated us like family. I heartily recommend The Ivy to any and all who will listen."

"Loved the location. In walking distance and the water taxi if running is just outside the hotel. Unfortunately, when I went the first it wasn’t running, found out it was due to weather 103 degrees. Extreme heat caused a lot of things to shut down. What didn’t work out so well was on arrival when we checked in our room must have had some work being done on it. "The hotel was recently renovated and all facilities are lovely. Expect the exterior to be the same and enjoy its perfect location near the harbor. In general the staff was attentive and welcoming. It is a very busy week, so we must be patient with those that were not. A special complement to housekeeping. Wash cloths like rosettes and tissues like fans!"

"Parking garage across the street, about $20 a day. Room was clean, quiet and in a great, safe walkable area. Breakfast was just ok. Ran out of pancake batter often in the pancake machine and was slow to refill. Not too many options at breakfast, but otherwise great hotel for families. Walk a couple blocks to an ice cream place called “Crave.” You won’t be disappointed!"

"This lovely boutique hotel in Baltimore was an absolutely delight to stay at! Staff were so nice, lovely perfume spray when you walk; the decor was so adorable; the bed and room were wonderful and onsite amenities, coffee bar and rooftop bar and restaurant were superb! I wish it had been a little closer to inner harbor but all in all five stars!!"

"The barn doors were dirty with a lot of finger prints. That is the only unliked observation. Love this hotel and will recommend and hope to return. Best thing was Altmens deli across street and hotel restaurant."

"Our air barely worked and we did ask for help. They had us change it from cool to auto and it didn’t help. Our furniture that held the fridge had warped and molded from the moisture and it made the room smell."

"Nothing wrong with the staff, it’s what they have to work with that’s the problem. There are two elevators, but only one works and the lone person at the front desk has to constantly run around to “call” the elevator for guests as the call button doesn’t always work. We had a “suite” that hasn’t been updated since the 1980’s and it showed. The A/C struggled to cool the room (it was in the 90’s outside). You have to duck to get your head under the shower. "Room was clean, impressed that it had a ceiling fan! Breakfast had a good variety but it was a mess and poorly stocked with no staff attending to it. One guest needed something and basically had to go search through the kitchen area to find a person to help. Tables were sticky and disorderly, waffle station was makeshift setup separate from the rest of the food and had stuff strewn all over.
