"Spent 5 nights with a friend, we were in the VI celebrating my birthday. Hotel is pretty ran down and outdated, pool is VERY small. Complimentary breakfast was good, you choose from a menu each morning what you would like. Staff was helpful, but I wouldn’t say they were kind. More dismissive than anything. One of the nights the hotel had little to no water pressure and staff arranged for us to shower in an unoccupied room. Inconvenient, but we were thankful to shower after a long day at the beach. Nothing luxury about the bathroom or shower, feels more like a campground than a hotel. The hotel is very close to surrounding buildings and we were woken up multiple times each night by people laughing/shouting/talking right outside of our window. It was a place to lay our heads at night. Nothing more, nothing less. "

"The front desk staff on check in tried to charge us when we had bought a package through Expedia. She was not kind our compassionate nor did she foster any connection to us at check in. We alerted the front desk about fecal material in the pool and on the pool deck. The poop on the pool deck could be clearly seen from our hotel window and in spite of alerting the front desk staff both by phone and direct conversation at front desk it remained on pool deck until our check out. Our room did not get cleaned the one day we asked for it to be in spite of the day bring in line with the eod policy. When we asked the next day - we got fresh towels and made beds but the conditioner and hand soap dispensers were not refilled and remained empty. The hotel location is good. However rest staffing with individuals that like people would be a good start. Additionally work ethic for cleaning and hygiene would be good"

"We immensely enjoyed our week stay here at this historical home. We canceled our stay at a noisy resort (because of the numerous horrible reviews). Villa Santana is beautifully renovated and decorated; and impeccably clean. The owner, Shannon, was a wonderful host. She was very responsive to any inquires we had. It was nice and quiet here, and if we wanted activity, downtown Charlotte Amalie was just a 3 minute walk down the hill. We were very tired after our red eye flight across the country and had a little trouble finding the place. We surely appreciated the personal escort from Shannon up to our place. The secure, gated parking on site was great to have. Great views. Great experience here all around. We would enjoy staying here again! "
