"It rained the day we arrived and when we got there, the whole kitchen and living room were flooded and the rug was soaked for the whole 7 day trip so the whole house stunk of mildew the entire trip. We woke up sick every morning from breathing in the nasty air all night. "Unfortunately, this location was not great. After traveling for hours from IL we wanted to kick back, but we spent the entire evening trying to book another villa. There was a strong moldy smell as you walked in. Sand was on the chair, floor, & stove. The air conditioner in the bedroom had a hole in it where anything can crawl in. The ceiling also had water damage & it was exposed and moldy. The faucet in the bathroom was super loose so when you went to wash your hands the whole thing moved....

"We loved our stay at Emerald Beach Resort! The staff was helpful, especially Rachel and Sharif !!! The beach was beautiful, great views from room. They were very accommodating to all our needs. The downfall was limited access to eating different foods. Getting to restaurants or town cost $40.00 round trip by taxi no matter how close or far. Strongly suggest a car rental. Reminder they drive on opposite side of road there. We stayed 8 nights, we would do it again!"
