"Room was nice, bed was comfortable, breakfast had good selection. We brought our x2 dogs and as with a lot of other stays we’ve done felt a bit short changed with the £30 per dog fee. Would recommend having a fridge in a dog friendly room as some dog food needs kept in a fridge. Otherwise had a nice stay and would likely stay again."

"Great location but very noisy in our front room at the weekend with revellers coming out other pubs. Staff all really helpful and can't do enough for you. Plenty choice at breakfast"

"Outstanding and caring staff optimised our stay. Gorgeous food and it was great to chat with the owner. Suggest an EV charge point for guests would be an enhancement. There was a commercial point just a couple of miles away in town, but being able to charge overnight would save time in our day and make sure we were ready to travel around visiting the region. Only minor inconvenience was the shower: needing to be handheld is not a ‘luxury’ feature as listed - if they could be properly wall...

"The staff made the experience absolutely amazing. They had stories for us. Great suggestions depending of our needs. I couldn't be happier about the service we received. The place is obviously gorgeous and the amenities are spotless but it really was the staff that made it an unique experience."

"The room we booked wasn’t prepared, they only had 1 bed. Staff brought in a pullout instead (which was not comfortable and not sufficient for us), at which point we dropped off our bags and went into the city. Upon returning at 7pm we found that we had no blankets for the pullout anywhere, 4 of the 6 ceiling lights were burnt out and we could hardly get light, and there were no staff there for the rest of the night"

"Hotel was a little worn in places but very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant food was delicious. Easy to get to city centre by bus. Because it was beside the zoo, there were lots of exuberant children so there were times it was noisy in the halls. Not so great for a senior looking for some quiet time."
