Got the ocean view room, and the view of the ocean is absolutely mesmerizing. The pool bar in the hotel is really a nice place to relax. Only one simple complaint I'd have is that the hotel doesn't have a big enough beach.

What’s not to love!!! This property is absolutely amazing. It books quickly so be sure to get a room while you can, trust me, it’s worth it!! Only bad thing is we had to leave.

Great hotel, great location, great service!

Great location right next to Fort but outside the mayhem of it. Great views of it from the pool! Private beach, quite sheltered by the big waves. Comfortable and large rooms. Lovely breakfast and great service overall. Sondeepa, the lovely guy who made our room, was super attentive and lovely.

Great location by the Fort. Lovely pool and pool bar, but shame no other bar in the lobby, that was the only downside along with not much seating area around the bar (plenty of loungers by the pool).

Decent stay but far from fort

Property is ocean facing which is great. Not really a 5 star property though. Cleanliness could be better. Not value for money. The fort is actually a 10 min ride away not walking distance.

FABULOUS HOTEL

Fabulous hotel with great views of Galle Fort. Absolutely spotless everywhere. Modern bedroom finished to a high standard Spacious showerroom. The large infinity pool overlooks the ocean and Fort Galle. It is beautifully clean and a joy to swim in. There is also a small jacuzzi Lots of sun loungers. Wonderful view from the bed room over tbe ocean and Fort Galle. Excellent breakfast We enjoyed the fish restaurant, which also has a nice view. Service was very good The staff were very helpful and made our stay thoroughly enjoyable

We had such a pleasant stay at this property. It was so calm and serene. With a stunning view of the fort. There's a small safe area to swim in the ocean as the rest of the sea is quite dangerous. A nice warm pool that offers the same view and peaceful vibe. The dining option for us was a paid dinner that had authentic Sri Lankan food. It wasn't short of any flavour and they did not cut corners - this is coming from a Sri Lankan. The next time I come from Canada and need to visit Galle. I will stay here again without hesitation

The good - really good location close to the Dutch fort. Great views from the hotel facing the beach and fort. The spa is good The not so good - service is not on par with a property that is marked as five star. The room had no coffee. Called for room service and was told they don't deliver coffee to the room because it will get cold. I have never heard that before. Had to call in the evening to get the room cleaned and after that we had to call again to get the amenities restocked. For the price that was charged for the rooms this is not the level of service expected.

Warning don’t waste your time booking a hot tub room. Total waste of money. You need about 2 hrs to fill it. Then there are no instructions how to use it. We tried to get a refund from Sanjivee but he was adamant that it was our fault that we hadn’t reported it (not sure what other than lack of power from the tap) he wasn’t going to oblige. Other than this hiccup the hotel is very well situated - 15 mins walk - for visiting Galle Fort where there is a good selection of restaurants and shops. The rooms are big with comfortable beds and good pillows. The bathroom had a nice shower, a Japanese toilet and double sink. The furniture generally was a bit tired and maintenance needed to be done on some of it. There is a good fswimming pool and nice seating area. Access to a small beach. Breakfast was very good. A huge selection of Sri Lankan and European dishes. The highlight were the hoppers and freshly cut fruit of your choice. I would recommend this hotel for the convenience to the Fort, size of bedrooms and breakfast. Question the attitude of some staff.

Good hotel in Galle

The Hotel is very good, with a good location near the Dutch Fort. The hotel has a mix of resort and modern feel. Breakfast is good and has all what you would expect. There are good food options for lunch/dinner in the Fort. Note: while the hotel is on the beach, you won't be able to swim in it. Beaches are around 20 minutes drive.

Fabulous hotel and staff. Generally very good for this price level. Compared to the other two hotels we stayed at this hotel was far more reasonable for food/drink pricing. So you don't feel like you're getting ripped off.

Pleasant stay

It was pleasant but I was not happy about the cleanliness of the shower. It needed a good clean. It made me feel like everything was just wiped over. The hotel design is beautiful. Buffer is a 7 out of 10.

Great location and building. Disorganised staff

Great location and hotel. Disorganised staff and bad communication. We biked a table at their seafood restaurant which they confirmed twice and when we came there it was not even expected to be open they told us. So as we didn’t want the standard buffet we went to Galle fort.
