Atlantic View Motel and Cottages

"The cabin was very clean throughout. A few spider webs on the porch but a stick looked after those. The seats, table and stool on the porch were wonderful to sit and look at the water. The site did say there was a bbq and while we did see two barbecues outside of two of the cabins there was not one with ours. We didn't ask about it as we ended up not needing it, but I thought perhaps they were shared. The shower was quite small, though for just 2 nights it was good enough. We would have liked a bigger sink to wash dishes in, as there is a very small one, only in the bathroom. A wash tub is provided but rinsing dishes after washing in the tub is near impossible. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay but would likely not stay for more than a couple of days with what was available. We did see other guests coming and going to a building next to the check in desk, so maybe there were amenities that we were unaware of. There were 2 bigger cabins so possibly if we wanted to stay again we would inquire about those. I also got knocked off the wifi a few times but logging back on always worked. Overall 4/5 stars from us."

"Clean room, helpful staff. Great location and amenities. Outdoor fire pits, nice outdoor roof top patio. Beautiful water view. Only thing for me was my room was close to the lobby and if you needed to go to bed early and get up early the live entertainment went until 11pm. It was loud enough that it was hard to sleep. That was the only downfall. Usually I don’t have to go to bed so early but this particular day I did."

"Our cabin was clean and peaceful. Check-in was super simple - a code for your entry into your cabin gets sent to you 24 hours before your arrival, however, I never received one. I called the number for the property and staff was super helpful, apparently sometimes when booking this property through Expedia, there are delays/issues with automatically being sent the code. This being said, the helpful staff sent me the code and it was an easy process. Awesome stay, great location! No complaints, will return again."

"We loved our stay at the Rum Runner Inn. We stayed in the studio loft room which was very nice with a window with a harbor view. The room was full of light (they provided eyeshades for night) with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The shower was AMAZING—one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel. The only downside and I don’t necessarily think I can blame Rum Runner is the lack of parking in Lunenburg—it was a nightmare. We would definitely stay at Rum Runner again, but would just pay the $25 to park in the harbor parking lot rather than waste time driving around looking for a space."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts were excellent and the view was great. We also enjoyed the town of Mahome Bay a lot. We were unfortunate to get a couple of particularly warm nights though, when A/C would have been welcome, and our room was pretty small, but we’d go back in a heartbeat."
