Good stay, but poor flexibility on policy

We were unable to check in for our first night due to an unexpected illness, and although I contacted the property (through Hotels.com) to explain the situation, they were unwilling to offer any flexibility or even a partial reduction. I understand the stated cancellation policy, but I had hoped for at least a small gesture of goodwill, especially since we arrived in time for the second night and had contacted them promptly to explain the situation. This kind of rigid approach feels short-sighted, as it leaves the impression that in such a tourist-heavy location, individual guests don’t really matter. The property itself was fine once we arrived, but the experience with the policy left a poor impression.

Quarto muito bom, porém a infraestrutura fora do quarto péssima! Check in bem confuso pois não é feito no hotel em que estávamos hospedados, é feito em outro hotel perto. Camarera e atendentes super atenciosos. Café da manhã muito bom! Quarto limpo e cheiroso. Localização ótima, porém para quem está de carro um pouco ruim, pois não pode estacionar na cidade, somente no porto (tendo que pagar Parking)

Vi hade en jättefin upplevelse i boendet. Det enda som var dåligt var avloppet i duschen, det rann väldigt långsamt ock blev översvämning. Väldigt gullig städpersonal som städade rummet varje dag samt vek ihop våra rena kläder på Vårt tvättstreck☺️. Personal i reception väldigt gullig och serviceminded och frukosten på rooftopen fantastisk med underbar utsikt! Stället ligger jättefint i gamla stan!
