"Our family was taking a cruise out of Galveston and this property is literally two blocks away from the cruise terminal so it was great to spend the previous night in old town Galveston very nice and then the next morning we just walked to our terminal for the cruise line, everyone was very helpful. Very nice. The rooms were great. The breakfast was incredible. Highly recommend recommended."

"Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel was very cute and unique—it felt like staying in a large historic house that had been converted into a hotel, which gave it a lot of character. Everything was clean, and we had no major issues. The only downside was that our room was on one of the upper floors, and there was no elevator. Carrying luggage up several flights of stairs was quite difficult. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay."

"This time we stayed in the Cottage. It was a separate unit behind the main house. Easy to enter using the code I was emailed. The cottage was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Joellyn was a fabulous host; she served delicious breakfast and offered several tips/ recommendations for activities around the island. The location of the home is near to several other historical landmarks/ museums, the Strand, and the Seawall. "The room is clean but my bathroom toilet holder was broken. I had to wait 15 minutes for a staff to check me in. It looks like it’s a one man show at the front desk. Staff are super friendly though and allowed us to park our car there few hours before check in and that’s a plus. This is my second time staying here and I will book here again. It’s walking distance to the pier and all restaurants. We were able to see fireworks and parade too."
