"I recently stayed at this hotel, now operating as Opulence, and unfortunately the experience did not match the price being charged. I arrived right at the 3 PM check-in time and still waited about 40 minutes because there was only one employee working the front desk while multiple guests arrived at once. The process was very slow, and payment issues with other guests caused even more delays. The property feels very run down and in need of major maintenance and updating. The lobby entrance is small and crowded, and the washroom near the lobby in the basement which felt dark and unpleasant. My room was okay overall, and the bedding at least appeared clean, which I appreciated. However, the old lino flooring had uneven spots that felt like tripping hazards, and several furnishings were stained, worn out, or dirty. Even the lamp had visible stains on it, which made the room feel neglected. The hotel also desperately needs cosmetic updates. A fresh paint job, newer flooring, and even some artwork or decor would make a huge difference and help the place feel more welcoming. The location and view were decent, but for the nightly rate, I expected a much better maintained property and smoother experience. Right now it feels more like a budget motel being priced as a hotel."

"The pictures of the hotel are quite misleading, it gives the impression that it is on the beach, but in fact it is a short walk, the view is mainly obstructed by a large colourful high-rise building. If you want a peaceful night's sleep you'll need industrial strength ear plugs as you are on the main road and you'll hear people shouting and cars blowing their horns regularly. The staff in the hotel were ok, the area for breakfast was a sports bar, so if you wanted a quiet breakfast you'll have no chance as your senses will be assaulted from every angle, plus side it's ok for the evening (Red Umbrella up the road a much better option). If you want a place close to the nightlife this place will suit you. "

"Lovely hotel with great amenities. Staff were friendly. Lovely grounds with pools and exercise room. Hotel gift shop and great bar and restaurant. Everything you need. Stay was three days wished it was longer . Great trails and biking path along a lovely marina. One note, birds were very loud all day and early morning."

"The room was completely spotless, the staff were extremely helpful and kind. The room had a nice big tv and a large comfy bed, the bathroom was super clean with a great shower. The area was also very convenient and close to everything, and the parking situation was good - we would definitely stay here again. The only downsides was the fact that our room didn't have air conditioning (it has heating) and it shared a wall with the lobby (could slightly overhear), however no real issues. 9.5/10"
