The Angurukaramulla Temple is a very cool place to visit if you're in Negombo. It's best known for its epic statue of the Buddha, and its dragon-entrance - inside you find detailed murals that date back centuries. There is also a 300+ year old ruin of a historic library here, covered in moss.

The Buddha statue out front is six meters tall. You walk through the dragon's mouth to enter the temple - the dragon is supposed to ward off evil spirits.

"This property was perfect for my purpose, which was to have a place to lay my head for 4 hours after leaving CMB airport and waiting for my tour guide to pick me up at 6AM. They let me in at around 12/1 in the morning, directed me to the clean shared bathroom upstairs, and let me go directly to sleep. I literally walked out and waved goodbye in the morning, no check out required thanks to having settled everything via Expedia. Extremely low cost option for a quick and safe snooze."

Frühstück landestypisch und es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Täglich gab es frischen Saft, Obst uns wechselnde landestypische Zutaten. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder."

"Le personnel est difficile à appeler car il ne sont pas disponibles même s'ils sont là et ils ne parlent pas anglais, pas de conversation possible. Nous ne nous sommes pas sentis accueillis. Entre les avions, les coqs qui chantent et les chiens c'est bruyant. Le petit déjeuner n'est pas normal trop sec il y a seulement 2 tranches de pain de mie avec un œuf et 2 petites bananes. Même avec la tasse de thé c'est dur à avalé. Il faudrait un jus de fruits frais au minimum. Aussi l'endroit est...
