"Nice stay, room clean, good breakfast, great location"

"I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was very quiet and peaceful and enjoyed sitting outside at the rear. There's no problem parking. The room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The only criticism I have is, about the shower room. It needs something to put your toiletries on. There is a small glass shelf above the wash basin, but that is taken up by the complimentary toiletries and 2 glasses. Even without them it's only a small shelf. "Excellent room and superb breakfast. Attentive staff. Minor problem at reception when they had no knowledge of our booking but they had a room free so it all worked out."

"Very good value for money, everything you need is there including WiFi. Some small areas needing attention but nothing serious. Only downside was building works going on in an attached building, loud banging from 6am."

"As soon as I walked into The George I was welcomed with friendly smiley staff who helped me check in and showed me to my room. They went through dinner times as well as breakfast. I didn't eat breakfast as I was too full up from the dinner the previous evening, the pie was beautiful and the sticky toffee pudding was yummy! My room was of a good size, clean and tidy and en-suite shower room was lovely. I will definitely be booking to stay at The George again when I next visit."

"The breakfasts and evening meals were fantastic.The staff Cal and Becky were so welcoming and lovely people. We went as strangers and left as friends. We didn't use the bar as we don't drink, but it was well stocked. The whole place was spotless."
