"Beautiful hotel which should have been a memorable experience however one person at the front desk totally ruined our whole experience. Golden rule of hospitality is first impression is everything and your front of office is always first impression. We were treated so poorly by the rude, unhelpful, unkind and actually nasty front of desk manager that we will never return nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone.
There were numerous incidents regarding directions to the parking garage, to my knowledge of directions, to access to the sauna, to the WiFi which was not working , to luggage access to our room up two flights of stairs…but the cherry on the top was when I called reception to let them know there was no “soap” in the bathroom was that I was told I “must come downstairs to get it.”
I don’t care this is a 5 star establishment…no hotel 1 or 5 star has no soap in the bathrooms and then tells you to fetch it.
When said person whom I shall not name realised by the tone in my voice that that was the final straw, he quickly ran up to the room with a bar of soap.
I always read reviews for hotels before I book and the first 10 reviews for Villa Mazarin are all 5 star! Once I started reading further after my encounter with this rude staff member it became clear this is an ongoing serious problem at this establishment. The next morning at the hotel I was told hey are aware of the problem and he is a problem.
Sort out your rude staff or Villa Mazarin is not worth visiting"
