"Centrally located hotel with excellent service- both front desk and restaurant staff. Great location that is easily within leaking distance to all the attractions, shops and transit. AC worked well and was handy at night to block out street noise. This hotel is right across the street from the main train station and a massive construction project to overhaul the main station area so expect lots of crowds on the narrow sidewalks (as of July 2026). It is a noisy and lively area but thay is to be expected in the heart of a large city. The room was well appointed and very clean. The breakfast was always lovely with excellent service. Overall my daughter and I had a great stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Maritim Hotel Köln and would happily stay here again. The room was spotless when we arrived, and we really appreciated having reliable air conditioning during some warm July days. The hotel is in an excellent location, it is an easy walk to Cologne Cathedral, the Old Town, the Rhine, and plenty of great restaurants and shops. We were able to explore most of the city centre on foot, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and everyone we interacted with made us feel welcome. If I had to find one small criticism, it would be that the elevators could be a little slow during busy times, but it was a very minor inconvenience and didn’t take away from an otherwise excellent experience. Overall, this is a clean, comfortable, well located hotel with outstanding staff, and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting Cologne."

"Just be aware that apparently you have to sign up for the Hilton Honors program in order to use the Wifi (or at least use Wifi at reasonable speeds). They are nice rooms but, other than the convenience, which is probably the reason, they wouldn't be worth the money if the hotel was anywhere but on the airport. I was also surprised there was no wrkdesk in the room. I'd only stay here again as a matter of necessity, not choice."
