"The staff was rude! They would not even print a receipt for me because I booked through a third party not to mention a room with the view of a brick wall. They had no luggage carts in the lobby and when I asked for one they made it sound like such an imposition that I said never mind. The room was so dusty and the refrigerator froze my gallon of water. They went out of their way to make me feel like I got the room for free or something just because I booked through Expedia. I will not stay...

"Recently stayed one night. Check in was easy and the staff was nice and helpful. I didn't use any of the amenities i.e. pool, lounge or restaurant. The menu posted was bare, and there are other places in the area I prefer to dine. My room had 2 queen beds and was very clean. The mattress was sunken in the middle, and the pillows were overly stuffed where I prefer a flatter one. There was no bar soap for the sink or shower and one tiny bottle of shampoo and nothing else. "Very cool historic house. We stayed in the Illinois Room with a bay window that overlooks the street. The bed was comfortable and the room was decorated in the old style. There are rocking chairs on the porch for people watching."

"Great staff for taking care of adjusting our room for my wife that needed a walk in shower. The gentleman that kept the breakfast room full of food for breakfast, and also kept the area cleaned. Thanks also to the cleaning staff. I would Definitely stay here again."
