we did not see a lot of Gillingham our main reason for stay in area was to visit Stourhead National Trust.

Lovely traditional pub, great food and ambience. Room was clean and comfortable, highly recommend!

Loved this hotel, cute and spacious room. Very clean. Great view. Just needed a better mattress as it was very uncomfortable. Would return.

Our favourite place to visit in the area is The National Trust property, Stourhead which is only a few minutes drive from the White Lion
Chose the place as everywhere else close to wells was booked up due to Glastonbury Fest week. Hadn’t known anything about the town and didn’t have time to explore.
We actually went to Stourbridge Gardens and House. Really convenient for that. Close enough and very different accomodation. We enjoyed our evening meal and our breakfast - good, homely village gastro pub.
