"The rooms were so cute, decorated well, and had everything I needed. The views from the hotel were beautiful, and the decor was so unique, inside and out. Breakfast was great; they brought out several traditional dishes, and the hosts made us feel at home, just like family!"

"Clean, modern and nicely appointed room with great views. We appreciated the included parking spot- super helpful in this town. Loved the bedding and toiletries that were included. My only complaint is that the AC didn’t seem to work as efficiently as it should for a newly renovated room. Also the room darkening shades are amazing and keep it very dark. Would recommend!!"

"This place is as beautiful as it is historical. It was built around the 13th century and has so much charm and character. It is family-owned and operated and they were all so kind and helpful. The rooms are updated with a/c (very welcome during the July heat) and a beautiful, renovated bathroom. The room was quiet and the bed very comfortable. They also offer a lovely breakfast included with the room. I can’t recommend this place enough. An absolute gem in the heart of Gjirokastër!"

"It was a privilege to stay in the old town next to the castle in Gjirokaster. High above the modern city, next to castle and the old bazaar, it was not only convenient but an experience of a life from another time. Ever wonder what it’s like living way up on the hill in the castle? Last night residing in the old town, adjoining the castle, was that experience. Too high for any city lights to penetrate, it was dark skies. Only the stars and a sliver of the moon. No sound. Not traffic,...
