"Very clean, great breakfes and the rate was about average for the Wausau/Merrill WI area."

"The room was clean, bed was comfortable, but there the soap dispenser in the shower was empty, had to use bar of soap on the sink. The hotel in general was good for the price. Pool and hot tub were great until the girls fast pitch softball team took it over which seems to be the norm these days. The kids run wild through out the hotel while the parents are partying in a room. Most times the staff was no where to be found like when the coffee and food run out with a hour left for breakfast, or...

"This is a motel that is far above most I have stayed in. Room is clean, the temperature was set to what I liked before I got there. Most times at other places the room is hot or cold and you have to wait for the catchup time before it would be comfortable. The staff was perfect, new there job, performed it perfectly. I didn't eat breakfast. The pool and hot tub were not in service and new this before I rented. I also wouldn't use the pool or hot tub anyway, wouldn't have had time. The best part...

"Clean rooms and friendly helpful staff all a a great price."

"The lake view and sunset were great! Nice walk on a great sandy beach. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us ideas on where to eat!"

"Great location helpful staff in every area!"

"A really magnificent departure from the mid-range, vanilla hotels that we business travelers frequent. You'll experience coolness overload when you stay here. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed and the communal areas are stunning in a way that fans of Gustav Stickley, Teco, Weller, etc won't easily forget. The breakfast was superb too. The only drawback-It was really hot, and the A/C in this old girl couldn't keep up. Luckily there was a large fan in the room. Walking...

"Breakfast was cold waffles tasted bad. The pool wasn’t open at 9. Had dirty towel the look like some use to wipe the butt under sink."

"Property could use some major updates. Room-floors gritty w sand. We had 3 rooms. All same. Bathroom doors very water damaged assuming from mopping. Hallway carpets stained Nd old. Building needs attention outside. Roof siding...we were willing to pay more to have restaurant and bar as on motorcycles we wanted those in case of rain. We did have rain and the restaurant was closed Friday and Saturday. Had we known that we would not have stayed so ask if u want those ameneties as...

"Guestbook is helpful. It took a little extra time to get the TV's up and running. Think they needed a reboot."
