"The Padre is a nice, basic motel. The Padre’s proprietor, Charles, was very friendly and helpful. He responded to our needs quickly. This hotel is an older building but well maintained and clean. Escalante is a tiny town. You can walk to the few restaurants along Main Street. The Escalante National Monument is just 10 minutes down the million dollar highway, and that is amazing to experience."

"The Loubird Inn is a pure slice of heaven! I stayed in the Sunrise guest cabin and it was perfect. The absolute best sleep I had on my entire vacation. The room was carefully appointed with everything you could possibly need, with a vaulted ceiling spa like feel and sported a covered front porch replete with table and chairs as well as a full sized deck with table and chairs right off the double doors. The local art displayed in the room were perfect. This is not your typical hotel room. What I enjoyed the most however was the path to the cabin I stayed in. Chock full of blooming flowers buzzing with bees, the landscaping was lunch and idyllic. Just not enough words to describe the pure perfection of this place."
