"We really enjoyed our stay at Phinneywood Basement Hideaway. We slept very well. The property was easy to access and the rental was well equipped with kitchen items for cooking at home, and had plenty of bathroom accessories (towels & toilet paper). It was well lit at night and best of all, it was very affordable for our six-day stay. We hope to be back!"
"The property was spotless. The room was a lot smaller than we imagined, but we didn’t spend much time in it anyway. I recommend this place for a quick visit, otherwise you’d feel cramped with two people. The common area didn’t feel inviting, just two desks and a kitchen with no seating area. I would prefer a couch instead or at least some chairs for the kitchen island, so that there is somewhere else to spend some time, because in the bedrooms there’s just a bed and the little kitchen is a step away from it. I don’t understand where we’re supposed to eat - on the bed? At the desks in the common area?
The host was polite and responsive but I felt like I received too many emails. The host uses a third party service for the cleaning fee and deposit, and that felt a little sketchy to us. The service even asked for a photo of my credit card, which is too much I think.
Overall we had no problems at all, the place is clean and in a safe neighborhood. A pleasant walk to all the bars and restaurants in Ballard, good and reliable transportation if you need it as well."
"The place was great! Very clean and cute, great communication. Beds are a little small which wasn’t a problem for us but might be if you’re tall. Overall, perfect stay"
"This was a nice space but could do with a bit more attention and better appliances and furniture. Nothing that can’t be improved. It was in a very nice neighborhood and cafes and restaurants were easily accessible by foot. "
