"I stayed at three different hotels in different cities before arriving at Empire Suites Montreal, and every one of them followed the same standard practice: they charged the room fare upon arrival and only placed a temporary security hold (around CAD 100) after asking me to tap my card at check-in. To my surprise, Empire Suites charged my room rate approximately 20 hours before my arrival and also placed a CAD 250 security hold on my card without my knowledge or consent. As guests, we trust...

The location is perfect as it's within steps to subway and a short walking distance to Ste Denis with all its restaurants and Ste Catherine and Laurent for Jazz Fest and the Village. The hotel will appeal to young, artsy, neuro-divergent, gender-fluid crowd. It will not appeal to an older, suburban crowd with any kind of mobility issue. The hotel had everything we needed for our two-night stay."
