"Had the perfect stay in Valamar Tirena! Great selection at breakfast including gluten-free section & personalised omelettes. Amenities were excellent - not only is Tirena great but you are also able to use the neighbouring Valamar Lacroma hotel’s beautiful spa for free as well as their pool if you would like to! There is also a small promenade of about 4-5 great restaurants and mini markets with all the essentials you could need about a 15 second walk from the hotel. You can get the bus straight to the Old Town gates from the bus stop outside the hotel (Route 6, takes 20 mins, costs about 2 euros). It is also about a 15 minute walk into the main Lapad Bay area which has lots more restaurants. Hotel was so clean and had a pleasant smell, rooms were beautiful and modern and we are picky people but the beds and pillows were soo soft - like sleeping on a cloud! Beautiful views of the bay from the hotel and takes about 10 mins to walk to the beach, all signposted very clearly. Hotel staff are very helpful. Everything was so easy and we did not encounter any problems at all! We will definitely be returning!!"

"Amazing hotel with all the amenities you will ever need. Early check in when your room is ready, restaurants on site and lots of other ones close by and amazing staff. Rooms are very European. Clean bathroom, soft beds, nice little balcony and very quite rooms."

"We had a delightful stay at the Hotel Croatia and felt welcomed and at ease there. The staff were lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. The place was clean and the buffet was always on point. Loved loved loved it and would 100% recommend."

"Stayed in a larger room with a semi enclosed balcony and sea views. Simply sensational. Thought the hotel was divine. My room rate included breakfast and dinner- both of which were buffets. Fabulously fresh food. This hotel sets the standard in Dubrovnik."

"I stayed at the hotel for 1 night and the stay was fine for what I needed, but I would probably select somewhere more modern and updayed if staying longer. The property felt quite old fashioned in the corridors and room, the restaurant / bar were well furnished and having an elevator is helpful, but the corridors and rooms could do woth modernising. The bathroom was well cleaned bit the room itself coild use an update if someone is wanting to stay more than 1 day or 2. The room smelt dusty/ musky and several of the plug socket playes were pulled out the wall (they did work but doesnt look particularly safe) The beds were comfortable and clean, lots of towels provided. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good with hot drinks, juice, hot food and cold food selection available. The staff we met were all helpful and nice, location of hotel is good and it was suitable for the length of stay for my trip."

"Place is lovely and staff are great. Beautiful foyer and bar area to relax in. I would definitely stay here again. The rooms could be bigger and some areas do feel tight such as the elevators and hallways. Perhaps I’m used to different but that’s my observation. I’d also say that the restaurants could have a better and bigger menu. My palette is vast but this didn’t hit for me. Overall. I’d rate it very highly and the sea view is phenomenal. "

"Breakfast was good. Room was tidy, horrible bathroom door and bathroom amenities. Some of the staff seemed abrupt and not happy."

"We stayed in room 509 which is very close to reception- which was convenient but slightly noisy at times when large parties were checking in/out. This was a very minor issue however and the room was generally very good - comfortable bed, nice decor, decent bathroom and beautiful views from the ample balcony. The hotel is a 25 minute walk from the old town which was perfect for us as it was easily accessible while we had some respite from the crowds. Food and drink from the bar was excellent - the burger and prawn tacos were particularly good while the signature cocktails were always delightful. The breakfast was also superb. The staff were the real standout feature however though - everyone was extremely helpful and welcoming. Overall I would highly recommend staying at the Bellevue."
