"This property has so much potential but sadly is in need of some TLC. The biggest issue was that breakfast was not ready at the promised time of 7 am. A entire tour group was waiting outside the restaurant when it was scheduled to open - when they finally opened the doors 15 minutes late, it felt like the “hunger games” with people scavenging for toast and coffee. This was memorable in a bad way."

"We stayed in the lovely Conon Suite which is very light and roomy with two large sofas. Meals were tasty and generous portions. Staff were really friendly and the whole stay was very relaxed"

"The room was well appointed and the good and service in the restaurant excellent. The only feedback I have is the shower over the bath could be difficult for an older person to safely get in and out of and check in times are not always convenient for weary travellers..when we arrived at 3.40pm after travelling from Northumberland and absolutely needing the bathroom, the hosts made us wait 20 minutes before opening the door."

"Managed to book the last room available a twin with plenty of room and comfortable beds. Said own bathroom but was across the public hallway. At check in was not advised to turn power to bathroom was a switch outside in public hallway. Not great when already stripped off. Eventually worked it out. Breakfast was great with outlook over country side."
