"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

Right next to where we stayed there was a church, and spending time there lets you truly feel the local culture. We stayed in the “Sofia” apartment, which had its own terrace very cozy and homely. "The property we stayed in was new and has been built to a very high standard. All the rooms have a shower and seperate toilet. A sink is located in each room next to the door. The living areas are bright and clean with floor to ceiling windows/doors, open plan kitchen diner with lots of space with modern appliances.
