"The moment we walked into the hotel, the staff had been very welcoming, and so was the hotel interior. It is quite new and looked beautiful inside. It’s a short walk to the beach and restaurants although the hotel has its own (we weren’t able to try the restaurant due to time limitations but had really good food at the rooftop bar).
The room was very spacious, extremely clean and bright. The fixtures were modern. It had a minimalist vibe which we liked. The bathroom was beautiful, had the usual amenities but with added hair conditioner which was not typical of hotels, even pricey ones.
The hotel had two pools, our favourite was the rooftop pool where you had beautiful 360 degree views of the area, including the sea. There was a bar which served lovely food at a reasonable price.
All the staff in the hotel had a ready smile every time we met them and were very helpful with any questions we had. As we were also visiting Valetta, we only stayed 2 nights in the hotel which we now regret, as it was the best hotel out of the three we stayed in while in Malta. If we ever come back, we are staying at The Reef Hotel for sure."
