"This is a nice boutique hotel in the center city of Lamaga. The room was large, clean, nicely appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't avail ourselves of the spa tub in the room but it is certainly a nice feature. The rooftop pool is inviting and there is an adjacent bar/lounge area. Please note that the only way to get there is by car and the most convenient option is to take advantage of the dinner offered. "This hotel is located right on the Douro, in a picturesque spot. There's a parking area right outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel claims to be four star; it may have been once but it no longer is. The rooms are spartan. A 20" tv from the 2000s. No amenities whatsoever in the bathroom, which had a broken wall shower and between one and three lights randomly working, depending on I know what. I had to move furniture to find the only single wall outlet close to the bed....

"Stunning hotel that I believe was a hospital. It has gated parking. Parking in Portugal is hard to find. There is an indoor pool and two outdoor pools, one of which is shallow and has slides for children. Our dinner at the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. I also enjoyed a spa treatment that was wonderful and relaxing. The location is perfect and we were able to walk to most of the attractions and historical buildings as well as numerous shops, bakeries and restaurants. I wonderful...
