"Room felt modern, clean and comfortable. Staff were really friendly. Unique fish & bird viewing experiences occur organically while walking around the island. Favourite organised event was the coral conservation tour (book in). Kayaking was great and didn't need to be pre-booked. Both were free and easily accessible"

Great little kitchen equipped with crockery and cutlery for two, the microwave was a bonus, huge bed and the decent bathroom has toiletries which is a bonus in a property at this price point. "This was our second stay on Heron Island and now that we're back home, we can't wait to come back a third time. We travel a lot but this island is one-of-a-kind! The amount of wildlife (turtles, sharks, rays, fish, dolphins, birds, ...) that you get to experience up close is absolutely special. Even if you don't dive, you're able to see all kinds of animals when snorkelling. I highly recommend to get up early and snorkel around the Jetty before breakfast. Both times, we spent 3–4 nights...

"Room didn’t look like pictures. The property was pretty run-down, there is no WiFi in the rooms and the TV wasn’t functional as the terrestrial stations were unavailable as the aerial didn’t work and again, there’s no WiFi so the TV was useless. Positives, checking in was easy and the staff we encountered were really nice"
