We checked in close to midnight on 2/14/26. At 2:00 a.m., I felt something in the bed and found a bug crawling under the sheets. Screaming, we immediately jumped out of bed and called the front desk.
We were told to come downstairs for keys to a different room. We packed up our luggage in the middle of the night, and attempted to move rooms. The first set of keys didn’t work. Neither did the second. After a third trip downstairs, now well past 2:30 a.m., we were finally able to access another room.
In the morning, we spoke to the manager who completely dismissed the situation. She rudely asked "what kind of bug was it". When I showed her the video, her reply was “that's just a stink bug,” that they’re common, and that there was no need to change rooms. She continued, "they don't bite, they just stink when you kill them". There was no apology or acknowledgment of the disruption. Rather, her tone felt dismissive and annoyed. The issue wasn’t just the bug, it was the lack of empathy and accountability. We' were so uncomfortable that we could hardly get back to sleep. This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had.
