"The room was immaculate and the bed and shower were great. The view of the lake and pagodas from the 21st floor was stunning! We had a double with Lakeview. Check in was fast and efficient and it was nice to get gifts during our stay. The disappointment was the breakfast which was very patchy. The tableware and crockery were not all clean and the quality of the food was not too high - especially the western food which was too often greasy or limp. This was not helped by the fact that everything was only lukewarm. The best food was found at the noodle station and also the bread and pastries. The staff also looked pretty miserable most of the time. However, how can you complain too much about a hotel with a waterfall? "

"Nice value for well situated property. Laundry facilities available (free). Dryers were a bit slow to dry but there were 2washers and 2 dryers and we were able to wash 2 loads of clothes without having to wait. Good location. Very walkable to all Guilin highlights. We booked a couple of tours through the hotel and they were fun and convenient. "

"The room was beautiful with an amazing view. The staff was beyond nice and accommodating. They even spoke English. The food was ok. The french toast was really good. Only comment I would have is for the kitchen to serve one table at the same time. We had two occasions where we already finished diner while our daughter was still waiting for her food. But don’t let that hold you back. Amazing place!"

"IMPORTANT: the Expedia app places this hotel incorrectly in the very touristy and crowded West Street area whereas in fact it is located about a 10 minute drive outside of Yangshuo. It’s a beautiful location on a hillside behind roadside buildings in Jima Village. It is a very quiet area within a cheap and easy DiDi ride from West Street. On phone apps (like DiDi) it’s referred to as Yangshuo Milan Shanshe Ancient Architecture Cultural Hotel or Yangshuomo Lanshan Shegujian Culture Minsu (Yulonghe Scenic Area Shop) Address: Guangxi Zhuangzu ZizhiquGuilinYangshuoJimacun No.31 It’s a wonderful place with great staff, very tasteful design, excellent food in the restaurant, and a very nice pool. The gym is small, but open air, with a commanding a great view of the grounds and surroundings. Most of the staff speak English and are quite friendly and helpful. The hotel also has easy access on foot, bike, or scooter to the adjacent river. Highly recommended! "
