"Room was very clean. The staff person/receptionist seemed to not treat people equally. We show up 2 hours before check in and am told the room is not yet available. Some other couple Walk up to the counter shortly afterwards and are checked in / given their key to there room. My wife asks why are the checked in and we're still waiting and is told they are a different condition - whatever that means, but the manager steps in and gets us checked in. Then we ask about the shuttle transportation to airport. They told us it was first come first serve in regards to space for the 0500 ride to the airport and the shuttle was already booked. Then they when we get to our room 10 minutes later they call and tell us space has opened up. At 0500 the next morning we find we were the only couple going to the airport. "
"The place is (very) tired. So many things seemed to have been neglected or fixed a bit slapdash and it was disappointing as it had looked quite nice online.
Our room smelled damp. The toilet roll holder was broken, the bathroom door handle and lock looked to have been replaced, and a tv once might have been up on the wall but now nothing. The mirror was held together by tape and there were signs of some wood-eating insects, with gritty deposits re-appearing on the furniture. The WiFi didn’t reach the room either.
The swimming pool was still as a millpond and stank of chlorine, making me think the filter system doesn’t work/is absent. The concrete around the pool has come away in chunks in areas, one of the lounge chairs had a hole in it… you get the gist.
And at no point was there ever mention (online when booking or in the pre-arrival message we received or when checking in) that the restaurant was cash only.
However the staff at the front desk and serving at the restaurant were all really nice."
"The airconditioning system was leaking inside the room and flooded some areas in the room although when we called the staff’s attention, they have responded prompty "
"The room was sufficient, but the bathroom definitely needed to be reworked. There is no hot running water. There is no real pressure for the shower. So I had to use the bucket and a kettle that was provided by the hotel to heat up my water so I wasn’t taking a cold bucket bath. There were also about a dozen ants inside the bathroom that I spotted. If anything, the bathroom can certainly be upgraded. The area around the property is very noisy with traffic. But if I would shut the bathroom window and close the door, it helped to minimize the noise."
