"The lodge is amazing and we got to see elephants during the day and night next to our room. They quoted us a ridiculous amount for transport from/to Vic Falls so we had to make our own way there for a third of the price. There were more people going to Vic Falls the same day so I feel they could make an effort to make transport easy, fair and eco-friendly for their guests.
Apart from that, we loved the lodge and the safari experience was amazing. We would have loved to stay more nights. Patrick was a great guide and spotter so 5 stars to him."
"I used to work at this property some time ago. The property has deteriorated significantly with lack of attention to detail, shower cubicles not holding to walls for example loose electrical cables and lamps in dangerous condition.
The bed itself was very comfortable and equipped with electric blankets which were essential for that time of year.
Despite arriving much later than expected and well after dark, fires were lit, water heated and a meal cooked very quickly for us. However, the bar was very limited with only local lager or coke available. It should be noted there was also no menu to choose meals from, you just have what is put in front of you and these were very much in the style of local food cooked the way locals cook it. This is certainly not up to international standards if this is something you expect from such a property.
The staff were absolutely wonderful and so eager to please. Nothing was too much, from arranging game drives to having our vehicle washed before departure.
Despite the disappointment about the state of disrepair the property was in and the food options, it was still hard to leave.

"We loved the opportunity to relax in beautiful surroundings. We got to watch elephants drinking in the nearby waterhole in the dark and see the impalas jumping around. We enjoyed splashing about in the pool and listening to the elephants drink as we sat around a camp fire. Unfortunately the lodge needs some refurbishment and the staff weren't as hospitable as we have found in Zimbabwe. Our shower didnt work properly so we had to use another chalets shower. The kettle we were given had the wrong plug so we had to go into the main building to boil the kettle. For what we paid for the lodge for one night it wasnt worth the money. The meal we were given was very expensive for what we received. "
