"We came on the last day of the activities and ski swap. It was loud at first but by the end of the day it cleared out. The room was clean and big which was nice. It had a slight view of the fall colors. The staff tried to be helpful."

"Charming getaway from a hallmark movie"

"This is our third year staying in the fall at Irish cottages. The hotel is clean and accommodating. Staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. My only complaint is the breakfast. Please if you can’t offer a well staffed, well stocked buffet maybe stop offering it until you can. This has been our experience all three years. The one employee running around trying to clean tables, make coffee, refill juices and keep the buffet stocked just doesn’t cut it. All three stays the buffet...

"It was a very nice experience. Would definitely go back."

"Thje staff from the woman who checked us in to the hostess at the breakfast were as welcoming and comforting as many of the B n B's we stay at."

"Perfect, safe place for a senior women’s getaway. All on one floor. Plenty of beds and 2 large bathrooms as well as a seating area to catch up with each other. The man at the desk was very helpful and friendly."

"We enjoy the lawn, fire pit, pavillions, fire wood, and the grill!"

"We enjoyed the hot tub and our "log cabin" themed room. We felt the price was a good value. Breakfast was adequate. The body wash empty. Note there is no elevator if that is a need. Friendly staff."

"the amenity charge we went for one day for a wedding and they charged me $40 for something that I am in use"

"The room was fine. Getting our luggage up the stairs to our room was a lot of work. The door in the room was very loud when other people were opening the door and closing it. The suctions was causing our door to rattle very loudly. The stay was ok, not terrible not great either."

"Carol is very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Room and bathroom were clean and bed was comfortable. The front porch and yard were kept nice and inviting. The seasonal Halloween decoration inside the property was outstanding. This was our first time staying in Bed N Breakfast facility so I'd compare with my experiences with Hotels. Though I've chosen their best and only room with balcony, I felt cramped in the room, there wasn't much space around the queen size bed. A 19 inch TV was...

"What a pleasant surprise: A safe, well maintained hotel with an immaculate room and bathroom, Keurig coffee maker, clean microwave and 3.5 cu ft refrigerator, a nice included breakfast, responsive and professional staff and everything worked. And it was affordable. Lovely. If we return to Galena, we will stay there. Absolutely zero complaints."

"Claw foot bathtub was luxurious. Wine in the afternoon was lovely, and breakfast was amazing! Really nice property!!"

"The weekend breakfast cooked to order is an interesting idea except when you’re not the first ones there. Fortunately there were other things to eat while we waited. Breakfast was pretty good except for the extremely salty sausages."

"Everything was top notch from the cleanliness of the property to the historic value and the attentiveness of the staff. I would highly recommend it! We had one little glitch - our thermostat was wonky and the room got too warm. Im sure it would have been an easy fix if we had called the front desk about it. We'll be back!"

"Good location to explore downtown Dubuque. Clean room, helpful staff. Couldn't get through to hotel shuttle by phone, walked instead. Been there before, would go again."
