"I stayed with my husband and toddler for five days. They gave us a free room upgrade at check-in. We picked this hotel for the location since it was convenient for highway access. We're originally from the area so we knew what we were looking for. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a nice view of the lake. They provide a good breakfast with decent eggs and tasty pancakes. There's plenty of free parking. If I was a tourist, I probably wouldn't want to stay here since I wouldn't say it's...

"My husband and I were in the area for a surgery and because of a reservation mishap at a different hotel we found ourselves having to make a same day reservation at Candlewood. Doug and the rest of the staff made our arrival and check in a breeze, they were even able to accommodate our special requests. The only odd things about this hotel is that it’s built a bit awkwardly with a split entrance way that made things feel cramped leading to the front desk. Also the one ice machine in the hotel...

"We were assigned a room with a toilet that would not flush. We reached out to staff -- within five minutes of entering the room -- and advised of the issue. After being unable to resolve the issue we were told that we'd have to changed rooms, but 15 minutes later were told there were no rooms, and the solution was to leave a plunger and tell us to repeatedly keep trying to flush and it would eventually work. We had checked in very late at night so we waited until the morning to deal with...

"This was my second stay here. The rooms are clean and modern. The parking is spacious. The location is very convenient to the interstate which makes getting around easy,"

"Breakfast was cold no heat under the eggs. The guest rooms although older are very clean with large walk in shower. Parking needs to identify HP Spots closer to door . "

"The first room I was given absolutely stunk, the second room the door didn't lock. I was totally exposed to anyone who could push the door open. The only lock on the door was the overhead bar. They didn't dare charge me the $100 deposit supposedly required for damage."

"My room was disgusting. All towels stained, bed sheets stained. Paint on chair floors and counters gross. The entire building reeks of body odor and stale cigarettes. Nips bottles all over the parking lot. 10 out of 10 would NOT recommend staying here. Motel 6 would have been an upgrade to this place."
