"This is an older 2 story property with great big refinished rooms with lake views. Daily attention to room turndown excellent! Front desk staff very nice. Location is wonderful with the highway close, biking path and water close, food a short walk, and museums a short drive. Parking is free. Downside is part of the property is defunct with an empty pool, unused cafe and unused conference bldg. no elevator, no ice machine and poor shower pressure. Our trash was overflowing and I called the desk in the morning to notify them but the housekeeping staff wanted to wait until check-out to come clean and empty trash. "The cleanliness of my room was not great. Trash and dust bunnies in corner of room. I found a huge roach in my bathroom and was not compensated any way for this when I brought the concern to the front desk at night. I absolutely would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Chicago. "
