"AC good Hot water Good Staff Great Customer Service"

"Upon our arrival and check-in, I proceeded to my room and intended to take a shower; however, there was no hot water. I contacted the front desk, and a maintenance person arrived, informing me that they could not address the issue until the following day. I requested that they please resolve it in the morning, as I wished to shower due to the humidity. At 10 AM, no one had come to my room, so I returned to the front desk to notify them again. The concierge informed me that the issue had been resolved, but I explained that it had not been fixed, as I had remained in my room the entire time. He accompanied me to my room to verify that there was still no hot water, and he mentioned that he needed to consult his supervisor, which would take some time, leaving me without hot water at 1 PM. Since I had a spa appointment, I opted to take a shower there. Later in the afternoon, the hot water issue was resolved. Afterward, I went to enjoy a couple of beers, only to discover that the all-inclusive package offered only one type of Jamaican beer. I returned to the concierge and explained that I had communicated with the hotel via chat, where I was informed that several different beers, including Corona, were included. However, at the hotel, I was told otherwise. I then visited the Takara restaurant, which had a fantastic atmosphere. "Absolutely extraordinary venue with spectacular views from every corner. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. We took a room for 2 adults and 1 child. It was plenty large with freshly supplied towels everyday. I didn’t get the purpose of the small pool in our balcony as we barely used it. But we definitely enjoyed the main pool and the beach pool. The food was amazing. Definitely loved trying out the local food and the seafood. The wellness centre was also wonderful. Loved taking some of their sessions. Also tried out the spa and that was wonderful. A shout out to the wonderful staff serving and cleaning and advising guests of the facilities and events for each day and you definitely know this place caters to families as it has a good kids’ menu and a children’s activity centre - El Conuco - the lovely Yine does a lovely Cassava workshop. She went above and beyond keeping our little one occupied with activities schedule. Special mention to our ambassador Rafaela and Amstar Berny Green who organised our tours to Limon and Los Haitisses. "

"The beachfront location and views are definitely the highlight of this hotel. The balcony and ocean breeze made for a relaxing atmosphere, and the bed was very comfortable. That said, the property itself feels dated and in need of better upkeep. There were maintenance issues in the room, including a leaking ceiling during rain and a fire alarm that chirped for multiple days before being removed. The food was hit or miss—breakfast was decent, but other meals lacked variety and quality. Some aspects of the setup, like towel access and general convenience, could also be improved. While the staff were courteous, the overall experience felt inconsistent. With some upgrades and better attention to detail, this could be a much better stay."
