"Very authentic experience on beautiful Miyajima island. The sushi dinner was incredible and like nothing we’ve had before. We were traveling as a family and the owner/chef prepared separate more kid-friendly sushi for my 8 and 11 yo. Breakfast was great as well. Sleeping on the floor is not something we’re used to but it was fine for the night. "

"The experience here was truly something else! Never stayed in a place like this. Our room was basic (traditional Japanese) and our meal was delicious served in the room. The amenities were excellent including baths and a lounge that included snacks and drinks upstairs. The location was incredibly close to everything on Miyajima and it felt special to be here once all of the tourists had left for the day. "

The kitchen, living room, toilets, and bathroom are all shared with the other guests. The house is lovely but has very thin walls and doors and you can hear all the other guests, even when they are trying to be very quiet. If the other guests leave early in the morning you will very likely be woken...
