"Power went out often on the island, a generator is needed at this property. Out flight was cancelled and we lost a day. I was told we would get credit for that but haven’t received confirmation of that yet. Location is okay, taxi service is a few blocks away, restaurants close. Not sure if I’d return or recommend at this time, still waiting on owner to honor his verbal agreement. But no matter what, a generator is desperately needed to protect a quality experience. "

"What a beautiful place to stay on St. John, a great location with outstanding views. The restaurant was wonderful, we had two outstanding dinners and enjoyed after dinner drinks at the bar each evening. Staff was outstanding, friendly and helpful! We are planning to return in 2027!"

"The hotel is located in a bad, sketchy area and I did not feel safe during my stay. The room lacked basic amenities such as a safe, microwave, glasses, and tea/coffee facilities. The shower water temperature fluctuated between cold and warm, with very poor water pressure, and there was no shampoo provided. Additionally, there were problems with the electricity. "

"I ended up in the same room I was in for Christmas. It was very clean and well stocked with towels and shampoos. Nice big screen tv and cold fridge and freezer. The grounds are older, but well kept up. It's a struggle keeping afloat on the islands and this resort is no different. The staff was excellent and very helpful. I know they would appreciate your support! I've lived on St. John for over 30 years so I know how hard it is to turn a profit here!"

"Do NOT plan to arrive early to this hotel or be treated kindly. We arrived around 3:00 pm knowing that check in is at 4 pm, but most hotels can accommodate an early check in if the rooms are ready. We explained that we would like to check in so we could freshen up prior to our 4:30 pm cab pickup and dinner reservation at 5 pm. "The view is incredible. That is the last of my compliments. Hot water ran out after about 6 minutes. The power on the island went out almost every night which is terrible for someone who has to use a CPAP to sleep. It seemed as though all of the units around us had generators. If we had one it was never brought to our attention. We had no way to exit the compound because the gate would only open from the outside. This could be an issue if there is an emergency and you can't get out. We...
