"Bathroom was not cleaned. There was pubic hair all over the floor. The floor in the main room was dirty. The walls are so thin you could hear everything. And finally the air conditioner was not working properly. It was so loud we could not sleep at night."

"The location of the Empire Motel was great, just a 2 minute walk to the beach. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The pool and courtyard were really nice and the use of the barbecued and tables in the shade of gazebos was very convenient. The owner (Estelle, I think) was so nice, we really appreciated her cleaning a room right away so that we could check in early after a 9 hour drive. We will definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Penticton."

"Wonderful stay, easy with children. Lots of friendly people staying. Great breakfast. Rooms are a bit on the older side, but similar to motel style."

"Location is amazing! Bed and pillows were comfortable, room was good size with kitchenette, balcony and BBQ is a nice perk, Wi-Fi worked, door locks with codes great idea for a hotel, and pool area looked decent. For the price, the hotel owners should be able to hire more staff (especially on a long weekend), replace stained bedding, and upgrade laundry facilities to make sure bedding and towels are cleaned properly."

"We enjoyed that we had a kitchenette separate from our bedroom. We also had a balcony off our bedroom and even though we overlooked the parking lot we still enjoyed sitting on the balcony morning and evening. The hotel is extremely old and does need some updating however we found it to be clean. We were disappointed that we only had one air-conditioner. Thank goodness the air conditioner was in our bedroom. It would be nice if they had an air conditioner in the kitchen, as it was too warm...

"Bit older establishment, but absolutely well looked after, very clean !! , great staff. Kitchenette well appointed. A/C blows cold."

"Check in time was 4:00pm. Room was not ready until 6:15 pm. No room service or room tidying available. Old dirty towels were left in our room from previous user. Makes me think what else was not changed in the two hours and fifteen minutes they had. Parking was bad and very poorly organized. I was told "You gotta fight for yourself.""

"Great motel with a perfect location and an excellent staff. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the stay was enjoyable overall. My only complaints were that the parking spaces are extremely tight, and the pillows were very hard and rough—not very comfortable. So just bring your own pillow and a smaller vehicle and you’ll be 👌Other than that, it was a great place to stay, and we'll definitely be back!"

"This is the 4th time staying. Went to check in for two nights and were told we had to move rooms after one night as someone else booked the room we were staying in a year ago. After trying to convey our annoyance that we had to wait around the next day and transfer our belongings we gave up and went to our room for the night. Room 19 was big with a king and two queens in an open room…different than the one bedroom with king and two queens I booked. It was frustrating that we didn’t get the room...
