"Facility is old but serious efforts have been made to update. New dropped ceilings, fairly new furnishings, new paint, quaint etc. Very clean and comfortable. I had very limited contact with staff, but that was pleasant.
There was some road noise but not terrible. Spacious parking was at the room entry.
Some of the room photos are misleading. Be sure to designate whether you was street front or creek side. Also be prepared for a 3% credit card charge.
The most serious negative was the high step...

"Great location, very clean and comfortable! Friendly and welcoming staff, from the front desk to housekeeping. Even on a holiday weekend it was family friendly and quiet. Coffee at the free continental breakfast was surprisingly decent! However for the caffeine snobs, would recommend a quick drive to historic Hazelwood for Beach Mountain Diner and the coffee roasters cafe across the street."

"Room never got cleaned, never had towels because unfortunetly the house keeper never came to our room but once and trying to communicate with her was impossible because she didnt speak english. "This is a Hotel from the early 20th century. It has wonderful character. It doesn't have AC but does not really need it due to being up in the mountains at about 3500 ft. a room fan and open window was more than adequate. We had small issue with a smoke detector battery getting low and the detector started chirping at 4 in the moring. They don't have over night staff so it was fixed in the morning while we were out and fixed by noon. They do have a weekend breakfast that was very good. ...

"Convenient location with a friendly staff.
The sleeping room was extremely clean with good linen and attention to detail other than a plastic ice bucket that was cracked.
Parking lot was in serious need of a clean up. Electronic door lock was slightly faulty. One of the key cards didn't work at all. Toilet needed to be flushed twice to cleanse anything from it. When I turned the hot water on in the tub it came out brown initially.
The hot water had a slow drip and the shower head barely...
