"Surprising to find that housekeeping only comes if you stay 7 days or longer. It’s strange to have a hotel that doesn’t serve breakfast or have restaurants on site, that encourages guests to bring in food and use the kitchenettes in their room, but doesn’t provide housekeeping at all- it even to haul trash. Also they weren’t at all helpful- they told me that if I needed anything like clean towels or toilet paper I had to come down to the front desk to get it. Just seems like a very do it...

"overall great"

"The property nice and a great area to walk around."

"The Grand Galvez is exactly a very grand hotel. My husband and I enjoyed our very comfortable room. We enjoyed swimming every day in the generous and beautiful swimming pool. We think the first week of October is perfect weather! The staff is awesome! We will stay again."

"Expedia says the pool is closed, but is open. Hot tub is large but not really hot. Breakfast had numerous options. The gravy for the biscuits was watery both days. Not that great. The powered scrambled eggs left much to be desired. Everything else was plentiful. Fruit, yogurts, bread products, drinks, meats, waffles etc were very good. Great location and wonderful ocean view also."

"I love this hotel. Over the last few years I’ve stayed here several times. I like the atmosphere and how peaceful and unhurried everything is. It’s within walking distance of restaurants and the Strand. When I visit Galveston this is where I choose to stay, Beautiful clean hotel."
