"This was one of THE best experiences I have ever had in all of my travels, including the two weeks in Japan. I struggled to decide which temple lodging to choose in Koyasan, and I am so glad I went with Joki-in. The check-in experience was wonderful, welcoming and helpful staff. They tour you through the entire property and help you adjust to temple life. "Ein tolles Shibuko, das wir ausnahmslos empfehlen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und uns wurde alles in einem persönlichen Rundgang gezeigt. Unbedingt die Meditation am Abend und die Andacht am Morgen mitmachen. Eine schöne Erfahrung. Am Abend konnten wir im hauseigenen Onsen entspannen. "

"温泉地の昔ながらの観光旅館。クルマで来て、駐車場の誘導係からしてもう対応が完璧。カバンをクルマからフロントまで運んでもらったり、さらにチェックイン後には部屋まで持っていってもらえたりなんて最近は高級ホテルでもあまり経験のない素晴らしい対応。部屋は露天風呂つきを選択。自分専用なので温度は好きに変えられるし、時間も気にしなくて良いので最高でした。ただ上階の足音が夜まで気になったので、下駄箱のところに内履き用のスリッパを置いておいてほしかった。スリッパ履かせるだけで大分違うので。エアコンは最近の猛暑でもよく効き、WiFiも速い。電灯はリモコンでも消える。令和の客室に求められる設備は完璧に備えられている。食事は夕食も朝食もバイキング形式。値段相応ではある。地元ならではの鮎焼きとか渋めのものほど品質が良いので目利きが必要。いかにも冷凍っぽいものは子供が食べれば良いです。総じて、ガッカリさせない素晴らしいお宿でした。カップルとか親子とか、ハズレを引けない旅にオススメ。"

"What a wonderful place to stay. Loved the volcanic bath on the balcony. Worth paying extra for the lower floor. Really comfortable beds and pillows. Our room included breakfast which was excellent. It didn't include dinner but we paid extra to have dinner there for the three nights. OMG!!! This was the most incredibly brilliant value we have have ever experienced. The most amazing food esp for the value. Do not miss out on this. You wont go back to room hungry I can guarantee. Back to your room...

"Location are great with million dollars ocean view. Even when you book mountain view, you can still enjoy oceanview because there are outdoor ocean view restaurant for sunset view or anytime. Of course, oceanview while you do onsen."

"Excellent onsen hotel right at the end of the first day of the Kohechi Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail. I came for the onsen and mountain seclusion, but they had such good maps of the Kohechi at the front desk that I decided to walk back to Koyasan the day I checked out.
