Ryokan in Higashimuro District

"We were halfway through our two week trip when we stayed. We were exhausted and even missed a couple of meals catching up on sleep. I could not have been in a better place to recover. The staff were great and the food is wonderful. The view is one of a kind. "

"It was a beautiful spot and easy to get to places. A lot of space! But the sauna room smelled like mold and there was a lot of black spots on the wood. The room we split in smelled musty. Quite location and parking spot you don’t have to pay for!"

"Probably the best hotel in Shirahama. 5 min walk from the beach. Clean, large property. Pool area is fantastic if you have kids and the rooms are large. Bonus point for the Onsen on the last floor with view of beach and sunset. I do not recommend the food. Looks terrible. "

"I had a really nice stay at the Fairfield. The staff there was very very helpful. The room was spacious, well maintained and had a small hot pot to geat water for coffee, tea or miso soup. You do not need soap or shampoo hecause it provided in the shower. There are a couple of restaurants nearby but they close around 8pm plan to go to the market which is a little over a mile away. Theres a local bus that runs almost every hour for 200¥ one way. L "

"the place is an island on it's own and looks like a James Bond villain base from the outside. Inside it's got so many baths and just cool areas to explore. The room itself is comfortable and there's even a little convenience store near the front desk so you can get room snacks easily. I picked up some of the pickled plum udon noodles to cook at home and they were delicious! Meals are a little crowded as they're buffet style but the food itself is amazing and so many different things to try. I recommend coming here at least once and staying two nights if you can."

"Exceptionally kind and helpful staff. The set breakfast was a standout—grilled fish with a beautiful spread of side dishes. Clean and relaxing onsen with both indoor and outdoor options. Room was comfortable and had a lovely view of the bay. Bonus: separate toilet and bath/shower setup, which was convenient."
