"From start to finish this was an amazing experience. Check in was great, with welcoming front desk. The hotel restaurant, wow! Great ambience, and I had a steak which rivalled some of the top steakhouses that i have dined in, accompanied by an amazing local shiraz. Everything that accompanied the meal was fantastic. "A very comfortable twin share room with two beds including one queen sized bed. Couldn’t fault the room, the greeting at reception, however during the depths of Winter, arriving at 6.30pm, having the front window shut and perhaps some low setting of heating would have been more inviting on arrival. "Perfect stay for budget trip to skiing at Falls Creek or Mt Hotham. Have personally stayed here several times over more than 10 years and never been disappointed. The decor may not be to everyone’s liking, however the comfort, quietness and cleanliness cannot be faulted."

"The cabin was clean and comfortable but poorly insulated as the heater struggled to keep it warm. There were plenty of blankets, so we didn’t feel the cold at night. The TV remote control didn’t work. The site is well situated next to the river and provides good cooking facilities with a fully equipped camp kitchen and an outdoor barbecue. The whole area was teaming with bird life. "
