We enjoyed our stay at the Highlander Mountain Home -spending our 25th anniversary there. We hope to return soon. Sarah was delightful and attentive. She provided answers to all of our questions. We had enjoyable conversations with the restaurant manager (and learned of her family’s long history in the community) as well as the staff members - Maggie, Abbie and Graham. The location was perfectly situated in the middle of town. Highlands is a wonderful community with gorgeous nature surrounding it.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is challenging and I had to park offsite a couple of times. Food in the restaurant was good, but overpriced with small portions. Seating was uncomfortable. I would consider returning to stay, but dine elsewhere.

We had such a great stay even just for 1 night. The property was extremely cozy and centrally located. The front yard is so welcoming. We had a Bunkhouse lower level room which allows dogs for a fee. Be aware the rooms are on the smaller side but ours did have a patio that helped make it seem bigger. My only complaint was that the restaurant wasn’t open on a Sunday evening despite it being busy season. We would have loved to check it out. However they offered coffee and a super tasty breakfast loaf to hold us over through checkout. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Highlands.

Cozy in with happening restaurant and bar

Great inn with a nice bar and band on Thursday night from 6-9pm. Outdoor music is a bit loud and off-putting, but service was very good at front desk and cozy fireplace was nice in lobby.
