"This hotel was like stepping into the past! It at one time was VERY GRAND and currently is now located in a very depressed area of Topeka. The State Capitol! It was very sad and depressing to see the current situation of this hotel. The breakfast buffet in the morning inside the atrium was lovely and attended by staff. No problems encountered except sadness for the current condition of this area likely due to economics."

"Expedia listed this property having free internet, but you had to become a Wyndom member or pay for WiFi use. The property was older, but clean and had a microwave, fridge (no freezer in the fridge which was inconvenient), TV, breakfast, one complimentary alcoholic drink per guest (unfortunately I left before breakfast and don’t drink, so I can’t comment on quality) coffee maker,
The only dealing I had with the staff was the front desk and they were very pleasant and helpful."

"This property was a small, converted apt bldg. Lsrger and more comfy than most hotel suites, balcony, full kitchen with laundry, and two tv's...much like home. Well done. "My room was downgraded to a room with a tv that worked due to their new tvs in some rooms not being set up. I tried endlessly to get the room downgrade price difference refunded. Robert, the GM, continues to neglect calls and emails from Expedia (who I booked through).
