We thought this was the hotel that we stayed in last year, but it turns out to be the one we first went to, and saw how nasty the room was and the entire property and decided to stay somewhere else. However, this year was a different experience. You can tell that there had been many renovations and upgrades done to the rooms from the previous year and the overall look was much better. I was pleasantly surprised and we decided to stay this time."

"We are on a 40 day road trip and the Gilmore has been our favorite place to stay so far! It’s in a great neighborhood for walking to restaurants and shopping, room was comfy, nicely decorated and clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend and return!"

"In town from Tuscaloosa and booked a last minute stay to go to Nashville Zoo! The front desk person that checked me in was so nice and professional! The person that checked in before me was giving her a hard time and spoke so rude to her. He kept throwing up the fact he was a diamond member or whatever the frequent stay members are called. I felt terrible as she was visibly upset by the rude behavior of this hotel guest but she calmly maintained her composure and professionalism through it all....

"I loved the feel of a home without having 1 room for everything except bathroom. My only problems were 1 never saw a door like that so had no idea how to put in the code, thats on me lol, and 2 daughter had a medical procedure while there and I didn't think ahead to that to realize she shouldn't have been going up and down stairs, but thats on me too. I loved the whole place."

"The rooms were clean. The staff were all friendly. The breakfast was good. The room was quiet and we slept well. But, I absolutely did not like being charged $35.00 to park in their garage. After paying over $300.00 for one night, and being older, retired folks on a fixed income, that did not seem very fair. Lynne"
