"Hostel El Refugio had all the comforts of home including a warm hearty breakfast every morning, comfortable beds with fresh linens in a private room, and private bathrooms. My visit was during fall when temps were colder. The hostel was always warm after a day outdoors. The owner Luis was very kind and accommodating, making sure you have everything for a perfect visit. "We were really impressed with the hospitality here! Norlly is fantastic. I hadn’t stayed at a “hostel” before, but my son has many times in Europe, and this was nothing like that. It felt more like a cross between a cozy bed-and-breakfast and a hotel. We originally booked because my son is 6'5", and most hotels only offered only one double/queen bed or two twins, which wouldn’t have worked for us.
