"Nice old-style bed and restaurant hotel with a lovely staff that was very detail oriented during check-in. Felt very at home in the pub area and during meals.
Bedding was quite comfortable and peaceful. You will hear guests walking about the stairs and over your room with the older wooden build, but it was part of the charm in a way.
Dinner was very good and the morning breakfast spread is typical European flair and filled us up for the day.

"Boutique Hotel Schluessel was perfect for a remote getaway. The staff are incredibly friendly and cannot do enough for you. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean and there are lots of amenities including a self service mini bar, hairdryers and drinking water faucets in the rooms. Our room was warm in the heat of the summer but we were provided with fans which kept the room cool. "We had a fabulous stay in the Stanserhorn Room from June 20 -25, 2025. The room was large, comfortable, with a balcony and spectacular lake views. The bathroom was modern. Staff was friendly and competent. Breakfast was decent, drinks were lovely, dinner was good too.
2 items for consideration:
- Please consider adding warm steel cut oats (preferably with milk and berries) to your breakfast offerings for those of us who are vegan / lacto-vegetarian.

"This was an excellent hotel , we had a family room , which consisted of a separate single bed and a king bed in the very large lounge area , and 2 separate bathrooms , the balconies looked out onto both the lake and sideways at the hills , the only thing it didn’t have was air conditioning, but they did provide fans in both rooms , it was over 30 degrees for our visit , so not sure if that’s normal , we used the restaurant for one evening meal and the food was lovely , and one member of staff...

Perched high on a hill, the staff greeted us with warmth and impeccable service from the moment we arrived. The views were breathtaking, and even our mountainside room felt serene and luxurious.

"Absolutely stunning views from room and restaurant. I stayed in the Naturhus, and my room was a little dated, but I was there for the lovely balcony overlooking the lake. If you want a more updated room, choose one in the main building. "
