I paid the full bill for the stay in Expedia and Fairfield Auburn charged me AGAIN for the room and is now refusing to refund my money. On top of all of that, Expedia is refusing to assist. I will NEVER use Expedia and and I will NEVER stay at another Fairfield Inn. Your customer service is pathetic."

"My family and I stayed here while visiting family in Monson. It was very convenient and safe. We were greeted with smiling faces upon our arrival. The staff were very accommodating and such a joy to interact with. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The breakfast was served hot every morning with a variety of options for my hungry teens. The pool was great on a couple rainy days. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this particular location based on the staff alone....

"The hotel is obviously a low cost hotel, but it is in dire need of updating. Hallway carpets were pretty gross looking and the room didn’t even have a closet (it had a door for a closet, but only a pipe inside the door with nothing to hang clothes on). Lights would flicker and come on slowly when you’d turn the switch on. The AC worked but not very well. But it’s quiet and cheap, sufficed for a quick overnight stay for a wedding."

"The staff was great, but the food at Shade is not good; it's too expensive and not what one would expect. The clam chowder had almost no clams and no potatoes either. But the rooms are very good -- very spacious and comfortable. There is no microwave, which is a shame, but there is a small fridge. There is a nice exercise room, and there is a hot tub in use, but the pool has no heat. There are pluses and minuses here."
