Nice boutique hotel in a very dense, high foot traffic part of Sheung Wan.
Location is great with Sheung Wan station a few minutes by foot. The Wellington is literal steps away with at least 3 Michelin Star restaurants inside. Easy navigation for Taxis as the side of the road is usually available for pick up and drop off.
Property itself is well maintained. Staff were friendly and offered to be as helpful as can be. Arrived at 12, but couldn’t let me check in even though the hotel itself did not seem to be too busy. Walked around, came back at 2 and they did let me check in after rearranging some rooms.
I got the basic room which is a full floor suite. One elevator and it is quite small. This is actually the main downside of this property. I never waited more than 5 minutes but due to the layout of the room, any serious fire outside your door is going to be very challenging to have you escape as it would block your access to the stairs.
The room itself is spacious with separate living and bedroom. Overall, more dated than the pictures show. Internet is fast. Washing/drying machine worked well and they had free detergent under sink. Microwave, fridge/freezer, water purifier and coffee machine all available for use. No iron. Slippers and robes provided. Safe in room. Washroom needs a towel bar by sink but other than that, is perfectly fine.
Overall, a short 2 night stay and was adequate for my needs. If you are looking for a luxury experience, this is not it.
