"We had a large one bedroom suite and big balcony which was great for our family. We enjoyed renting items to take on the beach and happy hour at the restaurant. Was a relaxing weekend getaway"
"Room was clean and the staff was friendly. It's a fine place to spend the night. They provide an ok breakfast of cereal, muffins, yogurt and coffee in the morning. The price is good.
My rating is lower because the TV in my room didn't work (they should at least get TVs capable of mirroring smart phones) and the pool wasn't set up. Those aren't deal breakers for me though and I'd consider staying again."
"Great place and stay overall. The Villas were nice with just the shower being quite old with less water pressure. Only other thing that would be great are stir sticks with the coffee pods as you can’t stir the coffee mate powder in. Overall, would stay again and very satisfied. Staff were very kind and welcoming."
"Ok. I am remembering the Parksville of the 1970s, it was a charming place and time. Now flash forward. This is an older property which would have been around then and refurbished over the years. It was expensive, but having just traveled through the UK, I thought it was on par with the smaller hotels in London. The staff were really good and efficient on check in. The room was very small with some interesting choices for wall and light switch placement. The wall paper was new as was the toilet and sink fixtures. It was all quite clean. But the shower was concerning. The water pressure was near zero and it took forever to get hot water down the lines. My concern with the shower curtains not reaching the splash edge were mitigated by the fact there simply wasn’t enough water to splash. Fortunately, I didn’t have to worry about seeing any drips on the last morning because somewhere in the building the electrical breaker tripped and my morning ablutions were done in the dark. Between fumbling around with limited vision and the shower which now varied between scalding hot and bone chilling cold (each time someone somewhere else in the building turned on a tap); the situation hastened my readiness.
Now all this would be mildly acceptable if a family of heavy footed tap dancing trolls hadn’t taken possession of the room above me in the wee am and left… in the not so wee am. Finally at departure there was no service just a phone number. Ugg, not worth the price tag."
"Took a trip with my five kids and partner and we rented three rooms for the night. I was amazed at how beautiful it all was, with the mini golf just across the street and extremely helpful staff"
